MICHAEL V. DOANE is a writer, singer, composer, actor, producer, director and teacher having performed in various concert venues, regional theatres, National and European tours, and productions on and off Broadway.

He co-founded BULLET RECORDS, a garage music indie label, working with DJ's Gusto and Choco, and producer's Lem Springsteen, Louie ‘Balo’ Guzman, Ronnie Ventura and the UK’s Farley & Heller.  BULLET released a dozen successful singles and enjoyed distribution worldwide. During the same period, Michael performed background vocals on Academy & Grammy Award winner IRENE CARA's re-recording of her number 1 global smash "FLASHDANCE (What A Feeling)."  In addition he has written and recorded original music for many artists including BILLBOARD TOP-5 girl group EXPOSE, Gioia Bruno, CHIC/KID ROCK/LENNY KRAVITZ/DURAN DURAN vocalist Jessie Wagner, SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE' star BJ Crosby, and European pop sensation Quentin Elias. For several years Michael served as the artistic director for the Flatiron Theatre Company (NYC) where he taught acting and directed critically acclaimed revivals of ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, WHOSE LIFE IS IT ANYWAY, THE SHADOW BOX, MEASURE FOR MEASURE, THE RUNNER STUMBLES, COME BACK TO THE FIVE & DIME JIMMY DEAN, JIMMY DEAN and BENT. More recently he directed LIT-LOUNGE at the Event Theatre and the acclaimed production of DIETRICH at the 2018 NY New Works Festival.

In addition, he has written several original screenplays including The Page Awards’ finalist WIDE AWAKE IN DREAMLAND,  a romantic thriller, and M, a contemporary adaptation of Euripides’ MEDEA, co-penned by frequent collaborator and Tony Award Nominee Ann Marie Milazzo (SPRING AWAKENING/NEXT TO NORMAL/CARRIE/ONCE ON THIS ISLAND). Other original work includes the comedy pilot MADAME MANHATTAN, which he wrote, produced, directed and co-starred. His current collaboration with writer Jason Grimste on the horror-themed MRS. Michael provided the vocals and voice-overs for the Paramount/Vantage Ben Stiller film THE MARC PEACE EXPERIENCE, composed original music for Avignon Bound Media's game show RED CARPET RUN, composed the title credits theme for tv's TALKING ABOUT, composed "I'll Take You There" for the Blake House Media documentary FROM THE 50 YARD LINE, and co-wrote "Close to Me" -  a Top-20 Finalist for the AMERICAN IDOL Songwriter's Competition. 

Currently Michael is continuing work on SOUL KITCHEN, an original stage musical for which he conceptualized the story, and wrote both music and lyrics.  A concert version of the show played to an SRO audience at the legendary Joe's Pub. Two-Time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell said "SOUL KITCHEN is a saucy and sassy gem with a score that grabbed me from the word go!" And Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winner Billy Porter said "SOUL KITCHEN is an explosive, joyful celebration that manages to bring the authenticity of the soul sound to the theatrical world."
